    Superb

We actually stayed at their sister hotel about a block away. The Philippos Hotel upgraded us due to overbooking. They are owned by the same organization.

    Exceptional

Lovely comfortable public rooms to relax or have a drink in. Helpful & polite staff. Proximity to metro & historical sites. Very quiet.

    No extractor in the bathroom

    Good

The room was clean and well-maintained, although the room and the bathroom were both quite small. The location of the hotel was excellent for visiting Athens and the area was very quiet.

The breakfast was not very exciting. An anti-slip mat for the bath should be provided.

    Exceptional

We were allocated room 506 with a balcony and a terrrific view of the Acropolis. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a great choice at breakfast with an emphasis on fruit and various breads. The location close to the Acropolis was excellent. We went to the opera at the Theatre of Herodes Atticus on the first night of the Athens Festival and were back at the hotel without any hassle within five minutes.

    Ther was nothing to dislike!.

    Superb

This is a very clean, perfectly located hotel! Right next to the Acropolis Museum.

The breakfast was ok. Good yoghurt, tons of sweets and hard boiled eggs. No water, too much sweets and not enough fruit.

Great hotel at a really great location! the rooms were very clean, breakfast was excellent and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I have read in the other reviews that they had very small rooms but ours was just the right size, not small at all.

    everything was excellent

    Superb

The location was excellent for exploring the Acropolis and Plaka area on foot. The hotel public areas and room were very clean. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They will help you arrange anything you need. The rooms are small and plain, but the beds are very comfortable.

The internet connection was very unreliable. I was never able to get signal in my room and could only sometimes get connected on my own laptop in the lobby area. The hotel has two computers for guest use. They seemed to work ok. Internet was 6 Euros per day or you could buy 1 hour for 3 Euros and I think 1/2 hour for 2 Euros. I finally learned not to bother buying a days worth!

    Superb

We thought the view from our window was good - being able to see a flood lit Acropolis was a treat - and I think were in the best room for that. Many rooms don't have the same advantage. It was very quiet, and the location was excellent for sight-seeing

The breakfast could probably have been a little better. There were too many cakes and sugary foods for our liking. The fresh fruit looked a little tired, which was a shame.

    Very good

The hotel is very well located , next to the Parthenon ! Breakfast Buffet is Good !

Spa and internet are not Free , which is incredible compared to the price of the room ! The Rate Qualtity/Price is very low...

    Exceptional

The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was a bit crowded but fine for three people. The breakfast was generous with lots of choices and we especially liked the Greek touches of sweet cake and fruit and yogurt. The location was excellent for getting around in Athens-very close to the main attractions. Excellent view of the Parthenon.

    Fabulous

The area was great, right next to the Acropolis Museum, the staff helpful and the price fair considering the location.Breakfast was quite satisfactory as well.

The room (double bed) was extremely small and the matress was so soft you sunk inside.Very uncomfortable to sleep in.If the matress was better, the room size would not be a reason not to re-visit the hotel..

    Exceptional

We enjoyed the view of the Parthenon from our balcony on the seventh floor. The hotel was also situated close to a subway station, this made getting around to sites and places of interest very easy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had lots of variety and was tasty. The price and location made this an excellent choice for us.

    We had no complaints.

    Very good

The hotel is right in the centre and this made it really nice to travel. I did not have to take the metro because everything was within walking distance. It was a safe neighbourhood. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Furthermore, the breakfast provided was good.

First of all, the hotel room was very small. It had the smallest bathtub i have ever seen. There was a really bad stench coming from the bathroom sink.

  • 8.8
    Superb

The location of the hotel is excellent, it's right next to the Acropolis museum and a metro station is located nearby. The hotel is old but clean. The "out of vogue" decoration of the rooms doesn't really matter because they're clean. The breakfast buffet had good variety and the quality was OK.

Although the room was very clean, there was a smell emerging from the drain but you can smother it by covering the drain hole.

  • 7.4
    Very good

It is less than 10 minutes walk to the Acropolis Metro station and within 15 minutes walk you are strolling around Plaka. It was also a very clean hotel. The reception was helpful.

We paid for a triple room (3 adults). There were two single beds and a sofa bed which opened up into a further two singles. The sofa bed singles were uncomfortable for an average sized adult.
